Depends what you’re looking for. Traditional, modern, large, small. Made.com seem to be popular, or have a look at Dwell. We got some from Next that we’re pleased with. I suppose they’re what you would describe as mid range prices.

Have one from Sofa Workshop that is as good as new after 10 years or more. Hasn’t sagged or become misshapen.

we got ours from harveys four years ago big corner suite and its still looks good despite the best efforts of my four cats it wasn't cheap though

I'd second Sofa Workshop. I have two from there, one is 12 years old and the other 3.5 years and they both are in excellent condition. I've recommended them to loads of people and no one has been disappointed.

There are so many paces to look so I'd say, not Loaf. They look great but mine (Crumpet) is the most uncomfortable I've ever had. The feather cushions they go about go flat in moment and I had to replace them with foam. I'm currently looking at Made.com as suggested above and [[https://www.swooneditions.com/tulum-left-corner-sofa#!82026 Swoon]

We went EVERYWHERE looking for one in January - the only one we liked (that wasn’t insanely expensive) was from Harvey’s but their reviews put us off. Found the European manufacturer SoftNord online, liked one of their styles then found for sale at a small UK business called Nuastyle. They sent me out swatches and were really helpful, had it delivered right at the start of lockdown and love it. So can recommend looking there if you’re drawing blanks elsewhere. Agree with not Loaf - went to a showroom and they were all ridiculously low/deep/squishy you’d never be able to just sit upright on one normally !

We got a modular sofa from Nabru as we needed storage and a sofa bed, and wanted an L-shape. The seats are foam attached to wooden slats, and they are supplied disassembled so you don't have the problems of how to get them into narrow access rooms. You can pay Nabru to assemble for you (worth it!). The whole thing can be taken to pieces if you move house. They also have a lot of different fabrics and will happily supply swatches.

The storage space under each cushion is not negligible, though you have to lift the whole cushion off to access it and is best used for stuff you don't use often. We have vacuum-sealed bedding in ours.

They allowed us to customise everything, though watch out, their website follows you if you visit it, even if you have don't track set on your browser! It took a while to go away...

My sofa is from Loaf and I like it! It was in their end of line sale so wasnt quite as eye wateringly expensive as usual but still not cheap. We bought the higher legs so it is easier to get out of and ours in one with no cushions, all one piece. Love it.

Would any of you buy a sofa without sitting on it first? We're looking for one too and I'm tempted to buy it online but dh wants to sit in it first

I’m buying two landskrona from Ikea in the not too distant future. Kind of a mid-century vibe.

I am very wary of buying without trying - although I might have relaxed that for Ikea as their returns policy is so good. But I haven’t ordered from Made for similar reasons.

DD was on a tight budget and bought a Brathult L shaped sofa bed from IKEA for her first flat. Dressed up with cushions it looks fine. The covers are removable and washable. I think it’s pretty good value for money.
