Green car

I am picking up my new car at the weekend, it's a gorgeous green one. The colour was what attracted me to the car in the first place, I love it.

Telling my sister and she seems to think green cars are unlucky and lots of people won't have them?

I am still mega excited about the car and its not put me off, but is this even a thing?

I have heard that but I happily owned a lovely green Beetle for quite a few years. Never put me off.

I was told this when I bought a green car. There's lots of different myths, including green is linked to mischievous woodland spirits. The main one I was told that green cars are less likely to be seen on the road because they're a relaxing colour and they can match the colour of the greenery in the background. It probably depends on the type of green.

I was told this when I bought a green car. And I guess there may have been something in it because eventually it went on fire while my husband was driving it and died on a pub car park!

I love a deep British Racing Green car. Not so crazy about that Kermit green VW does, but still prefer any kind of green to the endless boring silver everything seems to be in now.

I think its probably her personal experience.

DH won't buy a blue car, because again personal experience he's never had much luck with blue cars.

I had a green Fiesta and I really liked the colour, when I bought it, it was a couple of hundred pounds cheaper than the similar blue one, I was told it was because of the colour, I wanted the green one anyway.

This is a pretty bright green,definitely not yo everyone's taste!

All my cars have been bright green or yellow, they are a lot easier to find in car parks, when we go out in DHs silver grey car it is always hard to spot.

Yes I've heard this and I believe it's the main reason why Noddy chose a yellow and red one.

I very nearly chose green for my new car!

I'd heard this too when I got a green car and it turned out to be the worse car I ever had, total coincidence of course.

My mum swears by this. I'd never hear the end of it if I bought a green car.

That said, I also love the VW Viper green too.

This reminds me of my DGM. She was the most superstitious person I have ever known.
She wouldn’t wear anything green or have green curtains or carpets.

By the way, it’s unlucky to be superstitious. 😉

A dark green looks great on a car and makes it so much easier to find amongst all the boring grey ones.

I was always told that green cars are unlucky - except for British Racing Green 🤔🤔. Like a PP said, I think it was because they weren't easy to see against the hedgerows and had lots of accidents but nowadays we don't have as many hedgerows . ps I love the BRG colour!

I had a friend that said green cars were unlucky and it's also unlucky to have green bridesmaid dresses?! But she shares Britain first posts too so I wouldn't pay much attention to that!!

I am wearing a green bridesmaid dress this year too. There is nothing down for me is there!
