Not too junkie but really hits the spot.

Chocolate hazelnut diary free milk poured over a very large bowl of delicious indulgent, nutty muesli mixed with instant soften Bircher oats.

The oats soak up the chocolate milk whilst the nuts add some biscuity crunch. And the chocolate hazelnut milk is precisely sublime as it sounds.

Absolutely bloody delicious. I would take this over any other treat food.

And yours tonight?

Sorry OP, slightly off topic, but does anybody know any ways of eating a ripe fresh mango without needing a bath afterwards?

Onesailwait · 08/06/2020 22:42

Celery sticks with crunchy dark roast peanut butter or hard boiled egg chopped up & mixed with grainy mustard and pickled red cabbage on a brown rice cake.

I've discovered a little local bakery that makes delicious malt loaf, I never liked malt loaf till now but it goes lovely with a piece of cheddar 😀

I don't have a sweet tooth so it's always savoury for me. Tonight it was a toasted english muffin with butter and marmite.

copperoliver · 08/06/2020 22:50

Kellogg's Frosties. X

BillyAndTheSillies · 08/06/2020 22:55

Onion crackers with loads of butter, extra mature cheddar and red onion chutney.

When I lived at home you could set your clock by my dad's evening snack. Every night without fail at 9:50 he'd make a cup of tea and two slices of cheese on toast with Worcestershire sauce ready for the 10pm news.

AdaColeman · 08/06/2020 22:57

Buttered cream crackers with cheese.

Buttered toast with jam.

Buttered toasted crumpets.....
There’s a theme developing here!

Mallowmarshmallow · 08/06/2020 23:03

OP, what brand is your milk? And what are instant soak Bircher oats? I need all the details please so I can replicate exactly, it sounds wonderful!!

AdaColeman · 08/06/2020 23:08

The mango 🥭 question...
Slice the mango 🥭 lengthways down both sides of the stone, crosshatch the cut surfaces of the halves with a knife, try not to pierce the skin. Scoop out & eat the cubes of mango 🥭 with a spoon. 🥭 🥭 🥭 🥭

justjessie · 08/06/2020 23:20

Epoisses cheese with grapes. Omg

Or blue cheese and pear.

Or grana padano with honey.

Crusty loaf with caponata

Omggggggggg help meeeee

ExpletiveDelighted · 08/06/2020 23:26

That might just be the one I'd have to pass on Elephant - I only like ginger as a savoury ingredient in stir fries etc, not cakes and biscuits. Too many associations with morning sickness (for which they do wonders).

Strong cheddar with apple pie on the other hand Smile.

PickAChew · 08/06/2020 23:46

Just had a bowl of M&S prawn cocktail crisps. Probably fewer calories, tbh!

I rarely fancy sweet stuff, either, unless I'm sampling my own baking.

PickAChew · 08/06/2020 23:47

My last encounter with an overripe mango involved eating it by the palmful.

Piemam · 09/06/2020 00:02

Last couple have been instant noodles and another ready salted crisps with a green sharp apple.

@Mallowmarshmallow

Rude health
So good
Off for a run now, hoping more energy rather than still swishing around stomach!!

@Eckhart i found the perfect way...

  1. Go to Réunion
  2. Go on hike through the countryside.
  3. Find mango tree next to a crystal clear pool.
  4. Pick mango and take it into pool.
  5. Eat.

One of the best memories of my life!

Deathraystare · 09/06/2020 07:40

MittensTheSerpent

That is one of my favourite snacks too. I have to dice both the apple and the cheese though! I sometimes have it instead of tea (the meal).

Juliet2014 · 09/06/2020 08:32

Back from run
Best one in ages, so much energy

Clearly a LOT to be said to heavy carb loading with chocolate hazelnut milk and muesli the night before! Lovely excuse now!

@devildeepbluesea I suppose the more manageable version of that would be to eat the mango in the bath... but it really doesn't seem the same, somehow Wink

IndieRo · 09/06/2020 08:51

Aldi do gorgeous olive oil and oregano crackers that I love. Come 8pm when me and hubby are watching TV we have them with mature cheddar, rainbow tomatoes and some salt... Delish.

EinsteinaGogo · 09/06/2020 09:40

@Eckhart 😂😂😂😂😂😂😂 so funny!

@devildeepbluesea's approach attracts envy... i fear yours may attract ...intervention?!!
