Pandemic and holidays

I was due to go to Jamaica in July with my boys. Obviously now we won’t be going. The dates were agreed with my ex because we have a court order for our child. Now because we are not going to Jamaica even though I will still have my annual leave on these dates. My ex has got his solicitor to state as we are now not going to Jamaica he will allow me one week of the holidays I booked but wants our child back on the days that we would have been away in his time back. Can he do this is it not the fact that it’s the dates that matter that he agree to and not where we were going. Am I right that our son should still be in my care for these 14 days irrespective of our holiday abroad being cancelled due to the pandemic. Need help on this

Just reply in writing stating that these are the dates of my annual leave and I will be spending them with DS as previously agreed.
He would have to go back to court to amend an order and I'm pretty sure that reason would be laughed out of court.

Shared care orders 50/50 contact. Is the school calendar the one that we should be using to book holiday with.
Ie school year is September - September. So for the purpose of holidays should we use this calendar. As my ex uses a normal calendar January -December. So like this year he is taking a 1 week holiday in December and wants 2 weeks in April. So I’m thinking that’s 3 weeks because it’s in my child’s school term holidays from 2020/2021 but his calculation is that he is having one holiday this year. And next year it will just be 2 weeks at Easter. Surely if a court order states 50/50 split school holidays we should be working on the 12 month school calendar so that would be starting in September to August and not the normal Jan -December calendar. Can someone please help to clarify this. He’s a nightmare
