SOCIAL MEDIA time wasting/ not getting anywhere

I have decided that I want to begin a career in social media/ social media marketing, preferably for a fashion or beauty brand. With the current situation, finding an apprenticeship, work or even work experience has been put back or put on hold really. I don't want to be wasting the time which I do have so was wondering if any of you currently work in this field and could give me any advice as to how I could improve my skills/ educate myself to increase my chances of finding something when this is all over. Thankyou!

Best thing to do is start with yourself. Make sure your insta/Twitter/Pinterest etc supports your ambitions - if you were selling yourself as a brand & want to work in beauty etc, what does your brand need to say about you to get you the best chance to work in that industry.

Volunteer your time for a charity to get skills.

Take as many courses etc (plenty online & free) in digital marketing as you can. Follow people talking about the industry.
