Coffee machine

My lavazza pod machine has broken, I'm considering whether to replace with the same or buy a proper coffee machine.

I enjoy the lavazza coffee, but am wondering whether to upgrade. Have you upgraded and been more pleased with the coffee.

I've just bought a cheap espresso machine from the Lidl special buys, purely because the amount of pods dh and I are drinking now both wfh is disgraceful. I'm really impressed with it. It makes a lovely espresso, latte and cappuccino. I imagine a better branded one would be even nicer (I started cheap as not sure I would use it)

I wouldn't have a pod machine, the waste they create is terrible.

My boss has a Sage machine he's very happy with but I stick to an aeropress, V60 and Bialetti pot depending on my mood.

Thanks for the feedback, my pods are recyclable now but I agree it's still not good.

Depending on what pod machine you buy you can get an aluminium refillable pod but we didn't get on well with it at all.

There is something really nice and relaxing about steaming your own milk and pressing the espresso through. You don't get that with a pod.
