As a very young child I had a crush on Brian Cant! That is my earliest recollection of having some sort of feelings for someone of the opposite sex! Blush

As a child I had a crush on Bodie ir Doyle from The Professionals (the actor who was in Who Dares Wins).

That's fair enough I think, but in line with Brian Cant, I used to fancy Stu (ooh I could crush a grape) Francis and possibly Bob Carolgees.

I had more normal and age appropriate ones like Robbie from Grange Hill, Ralph Macchio and Spike from Press Gang Blush

cantgetmyheadroundit · 08/06/2020 17:12

Mine was Terry Scott from Terry and June 🙈

Oneearringlost · 08/06/2020 17:25

I loved Brian Cant too, Playaway...

Oneearringlost · 08/06/2020 17:29

Oh, Tom Baker in Dr Who, the timbre of his voice and the twinkle in his eye.
Not quite a crush, but nearly, John Le Mesurier in Dad's Army.

BillywigSting · 08/06/2020 17:35

Just thought of another one, Vigo Mortensen as Aragon from Lord of the rings but I was a teenager when that came out.

My friends all fancied legolas but I thought he was a bit wet.

JoyDivisionOvenGlovesx · 08/06/2020 17:45

Timothy Claypole from Rentaghost.

Yeah, nothing wrong with that one.

Sparklingbrook · 08/06/2020 17:54

I had a huge poster of this. He turned up in Emmerdale recently then got killed off.

Frodo Baggins and Brian May.
Must be the hair 😳

CoronaIsComing · 08/06/2020 18:00

Aaron Carter (Nick Carter from the Backstreet Boys) younger, squeaky voices brother. To be fair, at least it was age appropriate!

Hmm, now Michael Praed (?) was rather sexy, and Marti Pellow 😍

Yes, I guess Michael Praed isn't that cringey because he did look pretty amazing in his Robin Hood outfit. Grin

A fellow Brian fan, yay! I had a Google and sadly he died in 2017, but he was 83 ❤️

Another one here who loved Brian Cant. But I loved Jim Dale more. Still do!

PrincessSarene · 08/06/2020 18:08

Steve Davis (the snooker player) - I used to swear blind he was smiling directly at me down the cue Blush

Gunpowder · 08/06/2020 18:09

I liked Robin Hood. (The cartoon fox version obvs).

pictish · 08/06/2020 18:09

I was a fan for a bit, and had a couple of posters on my bedroom wall so I'll share the shame! Grin

Cliff Richard for me too, as Don from Summer Holiday.

Orlando Bloom - fell in love with him during the Lord of the Rings. Went to see Pirates of the Caribbean because of him, but once I saw the film I ditched him for Johnny Depp.

Ben from A1 (those curtains)

Terralee · 08/06/2020 18:50

My first real crush not a celebrity. It was when I was 13 - there was a new boy in my class called Paul.

He was good looking & a real charmer. He had a girlfriend at his old school who he said he was sleeping with, he hung out with the cool lads, & his dad was Italian.

I wanted to be his girlfriend!!

But it wasn't to be. However, I did get my first proper kiss from him under some mistletoe at school before the Christmas holidays.

I was sooo happy....

So 20 years later he turned up as a day patient on my hospital ward!

The other nurses said he was married with kids, a painter & decorator, good looking & yes, a charmer. I'm ashamed to say I was too shy to go & say hello!!

I adored Dean Cain from the New Adventures of Superman. I also liked Dick and Dom from Da Bungalow.... Envy
