How do you eat pringles?

I've just discovered that DP and I eat pringles differently. I might have to leave him, I can't fathom they way he does it. But then I thought maybe I'm the weird one.

One of us eats them with the sides turned down so they sit around your tongue.

One of us eats then with the sides facing up to the roof of your mouth, because all the flavour is on the side that touches your tongue.

Which is correct?

Obviously, sides down is correct. The other way is pretentious.

summerfruitssquash · 08/06/2020 12:14

Sides down and all in one 😂

Wewearpinkonwednesdays · 08/06/2020 12:15

Sides down obviously.

Bite in half length ways.

Either side up or down. Maverick.

FedUpWithBriiiiick · 08/06/2020 12:16

Sides down, and in stacks of 5.

YewandOak · 08/06/2020 12:16

Sides down. The other way hurts my mouth

SuperlativeScrubs · 08/06/2020 12:17

I make duck bills and eat two at once... Blush

PickwickThePlockingDodo · 08/06/2020 12:19

Lick first, then place on tongue with sides down, obviously.

Sparklfairy · 08/06/2020 12:19

Sides up, to get the flavour, but I kind of break them with my tongue and eat them slowly. I hate people that shovel loads in at a time as quickly as possible usually people who have no concept of sharing so I get fewer Pringles

I think when I was a kid they had more flavouring on/flavour was more intense. I remember the first time I tried the Salt & Vinegar ones, blew my head off! Now they seem much more bland!

ItsAHardKn0ckLife1 · 08/06/2020 12:19

By the tube

AwrightDoreenTakeAFuckinDayOff · 08/06/2020 12:21

Quickly.

WhoWouldHaveThoughtThat · 08/06/2020 12:21

I eat them with my mouth. Actually just stuff them in any old how, occasionally eat the plastic lid too. Grin

Addler · 08/06/2020 12:22

Vindication! I tried doing it with sides up and it's painful. I didn't know it was a thing.

Strangely enough I had some from the newsagent across the road which was the EU version, and it had WAY more flavour. DP bought me the same flavour from the supermarket today and they're so bland. I've still eaten half the tube obviously.

Like a pig, preferably alone Grin

Sparklfairy · 08/06/2020 12:25

I've still eaten half the tube obviously.

Obviously! Market research innit Grin

That makes me sad that the EU get better Pringles than us Sad

Redbrownbrick · 08/06/2020 12:26

I once read a post on here where the point said when she got too full she just licked the flavouring off and binned the crisp. To say I was impressed is an understatement.

Sparklfairy · 08/06/2020 12:27

Oh yes @Redbrownbrick I saw that too! I thought it was genius. I always eat far too many and feel sick shortly afterwards, but keep eating because I want more of the taste. This is the solution Grin

blosstree · 08/06/2020 12:29

I eat them sides turned up, but I also put them in my mouth sideways, so I have to open my mouth extra wide to fit them in Confused I'll get my coat Blush

Lightofthephoenix · 08/06/2020 12:30

She des down and two at a time

Lightofthephoenix · 08/06/2020 12:31

Goodness me, please excuse that awful last post.

Sides down and two at a time.

fortunacookie · 08/06/2020 12:33

I just shovel them in either ways 🤷‍♀️

Loyaultemelie · 08/06/2020 12:37

I never thought of sides down! They do hurt but I still keep shovelling they are sooo addictive. This could be the solution

UnderTheBus · 08/06/2020 12:39

Sides down, two at a time so you get extra crunch

Addler · 08/06/2020 13:06

@blosstree you absolute masochist. Why?

OP posts:
Rockbird · 08/06/2020 13:08

Sides down, in fours, as quickly as possible! 🐷
