Annual leave - what are you doing

I have 36 days of annual to take this year - carried over lots from last year.

I usually take two solid weeks in July, but I haven’t even thought about it yet. No chance of booking a holiday or doing anything fun. But work is exhausting and stressful and I need a break.

What are you all doing about summer holidays and annual leave this year?

I've cancelled my original leave and rescheduled for the end of August (got in just in time, it's becoming hard to cancel leave now as they are concerned about a glut that needs to be used up)
If our replacement holiday is cancelled, we'll just knock around the house some more
I'm fortunate that I enjoy my job so it's not a real burden to be in, but it will be nice to have some time off regardless Wink

Accruing it while being furloughed. Theres a high chance I'll be made redundant by next march when the holiday year runs out so wont use any unless necessary. Sad

As my 5 year old says 'stupid Corona virus'.

We haven’t taken any up to now, from start of year, would normally have had a week around Easter and maybe one other. We have young adult DC, eldest just finished uni, so had planned to be in France first half of June. Obviously we aren’t there!

I have 8 weeks, as bought some extra and have BH entitlement, we have been told we can sell some back, but I would rather take it and just chill.

We have booked next week off, just to have a break, my work in particular has become very stressful over last month. DC both have PT retail work, so we will do long dog walks, maybe a coastal trip, either the 2 of us or with DC if they can join us, plus time at home doing some sorting. DH just got an allotment, which needs a lot of clearing, so we will spend some time there too.

We have a caravan and have some weeks planned for July and early August, with pitches booked on caravan club sites - they announced today that they are on target to open English sites on 4/7, so fingers crossed that they get Govt go ahead and we can get away. Just a change of scenery will be nice.

My company has said it is staying with normal rules re carry-over ie only allowed with director approval, but I am not planning on having any left! I will take the rest of my leave in autumn, we will get away somewhere.
