Sausages sealed packet use by 3rd June
Double cream 5th June sealed

Safe to eat this evening??

Both fine.Id eat them.
Sniff the sausages and taste the cream.

Eat and eat.

The sausages will be slimy if they are off. The cream will smell bad. Easy to tell if they are safe to eat once opened

I would eat both (not together) if they smell ok. But I am famously lax with food dates. My late FIL would have thrown them out at the stroke of midnight on their use-by dates. Or given them to me because he knew I'd eat them 😂

I find sealed dairy often lasts long after the supposed expiry date. As others have said, use your eyes and nose. You'll know if they are off.
