If you have a fitness watch how many calories do you burn a day?

Purely out of interest!
I’ve recently bought a garmin vivoactive 3 watch and I’m pleasantly surprised at the calories I burn on average!

If I get my 10k steps then over 2000.

I am mid 40s, short and overweight. I think this is a massive over estimate. TDEE calculators put me on about 1750 at lightly active, 1550 at sedentary.

I've had a lazy day and walked 3244 and it says I've burnt 69.

It totally depends on your height / weight / activity level. My vivoactive 3 tells me anything from 1900 - 2800 depending on what I've been doing that day. Yes I exercise a lot and burn a lot of calories! However, I always take it with a pinch of salt, nothing is 100% accurate.

Not many! 30s, 5'2" and I tend to average around 1800. Today I might hit 2000 but I ran 10k this morning and will go for a walk with DS later. Apart from that I have a job sitting at a desk so don't get many steps that way.

I am 15 stone 6 and on an inactive day approx 2400, on an active day 3000-3200. The active days involve a run and an hour to 1.5hour walk. I have previously based my eating on the calories it says I burn minus 1000 and lost a few pounds a week so would say it must have some degree of accuracy although I do take it with a pinch of salt.

A sit on my bum day = 1300
Go for a run and steps around 8000 = 1600

I'm short, average weight for my height and mid 40s. My TDEE is low so this seems about right.

Handbag101 · 07/06/2020 18:49

I've done 60 minutes exercise today and mine says 604 which is about right. It was a 30 minute run and 30 minute circuit training.

5ft 5, 9st 10, age 43. My do-nothing-but-exist calorie burn is 1540, I usually add a 500-600 calorie burn through activity to that, everyday. I have a Garmin 645.

Normally around 2500 but 1967 today. Haven't done a lot today apart from a half hour walk.
