Does it mean drive through only?

I don't have a car but really want a burger and shake :(

Yeah drive through only,

ClashCityRocker · 07/06/2020 14:33

Yeah, I think it's drive thru and delivery only

ClashCityRocker · 07/06/2020 14:34

Mine aren't doing shakes yet either - don't know if that's nationwide, but they're on a reduced menu.

Picalilliandcheese · 07/06/2020 14:34

Don’t try to go through on a horse. It will get you arrested.

Consty · 07/06/2020 14:36

No where is doing delivery though :/

It's so unfair 😂

OP you might be lucky as they are apparently doing deliveries in some areas from next week.

pinkazing · 07/06/2020 14:42

I’m not condoning this but desperate mate gave cash to someone in the queue to get them a burger with their order Grin

WorraLiberty · 07/06/2020 14:43

DH is cooking roast lamb with all the trimmings and all I can think about is a BigMac and that lovely sauce Blush

schoolsoutforcovid · 07/06/2020 14:43

They aren't doing milkshakes

ToothFairyNemesis · 07/06/2020 14:43

Uber eats are delivering from next week.

KatherineJaneway · 07/06/2020 14:45

My local is delivering via Uber Eats.

MikeUniformMike · 07/06/2020 14:50

They can't spell. It's kerb not curb in the UK.

Consty · 07/06/2020 14:56

I looked at ubereats but no.

Which is surprising as I'm in an area with a lot of mcds. But up north

OP posts:
MrMagooInTheLoo · 07/06/2020 15:17

Cafés do burgers and are a lot tastier imo on ubereats or deliveroo

London91 · 07/06/2020 15:17

@Consty only alternative I can think of is getting a cab and going through the drive thru and getting your order that way?

Hangingover · 07/06/2020 15:29

We tried walking through a drive through once and they told us to get lost Grin

OneMoreLight · 07/06/2020 15:34

None of them are doing delivery yet. Some will start next week.

They have a limited menu so you can't get milkshake at the moment anyway.

Go and ask some one in the queue already to order for you. The maximum order is £20 or £25 so don't ask them to order loads for you!

KatherineJaneway · 08/06/2020 06:22

McDonald's are doing delivery from some branches through Uber Eats.

TiptopJ · 08/06/2020 06:28

A taxi?
Pick up and drop off points both sides of the drive through Grin

Ajollygoodwrap · 08/06/2020 06:33

Couldn't you just 'walk through' instead? Why are they discriminating between people driving and walking? Same window, items already paid for. Should it matter if you're in a car or out of it while collecting? Never thought of this before 🤔

JacobReesMogadishu · 08/06/2020 06:35

You can’t walk through. It’s a health and safety thing, you could get run over.

Ajollygoodwrap · 08/06/2020 06:39

Ah I see. Do you think 'walkthroughs' could be implemented in the future then depending on how things go?

JacobReesMogadishu · 08/06/2020 06:43

I think it could be implemented. People give their order at the door and pay and food is brought to them. Problem is space for outside queing. How could it be done safely on what’s usually a narrow path right next to the roadway!? Not much space for social distancing or keeping out the way of cars.

I suspect they’ll open up the inside soon for normal inside queues. But food will be take away only not eat in. I think legally they can do that now if they wanted? Our Local Starbucks is doing that. Maybe McDonald’s are being ultra cautious and protecting their staff?
