Hi all, looking at various boards people are recommending ikea food bags for freezer, but I can't see that they are particularly safe (polyethylene - I'm not sure how safe this is). Does anyone have any decent food storage suggestions for freezers that avoid freezer burn and also are fairly safe if poss? plastic free would be good but if it's reusable I guess that's ok.

Lakeland have some good heavy-duty reusable ones

The Ikea ones are fantastic. Not found any to beat them.

From the limited amount of Googling that I can be bothered to do, it appears from the results that polyethylene is certified safe for food use.

We've used the Ikea ones for years, and they are efficient, re-usable and long-lasting. They also come in loads of sizes.

Another vote for IKEA ones. I like the litre and half litre pack, great for when you only want to freeze small amounts/small portions.

Thanks so much, I guess IKEA it is, dubious as I am about using plastic and safety etc. Thanks ppl :)
