What's the worst crime committed against you (possibly triggering)

Hi. I was wondering what the worst crime is that has been committed against you, and what (if anything) was the punishment to the perpetrator(s). Were the police supportive and so on.

I realise I am very lucky in saying I have never been seriously assaulted or anything along those lines...the worst thing to have happened to us was getting scammed by a rogue tradesman to the tune of £2k. Was very complex in the damage caused.

All reported and all avenues explored. Nothing was done and we got no money back. The police won't deal with fraud at all nowadays which was a real surprise to me.

Would love to hear others stories if you wouldn't mind sharing.

A few years ago my other half were very vulnerable. He couldn't find a full time job we had a child to feed .He had years working in his parents village post office even running it himself. He knew everything there is to do in a post office all the ins and outs.

Now we were in a sticky situation we had to move but our landlord put a black mark on us.He said we damaged his property ,the damage was a water pipe breaking yet it broke on its own accord .Our child drew on a wall but we washed and repainted the room the same colour. The house was in mint condition when we left it. Yet because of this we could not move.So we had to tell our next landlord we had previously lived at his parents.I know not the best thing but we had done nothing wrong to damage our last property.

Now the job we were moving to ,my other half finally got a full time job at a post office thus why we had to move.Although things were hard financial due to letting fees the move we knew once things got rolling it would be fine.

We just had to pay our debts and we could start standing on our own two feet. But after a time at the post office money was taken from my other halfs till. There are only two people that know his login code him and the manager. This was conveniently taken on a day when the cameras were offline. Now in passing my other half mentioned our housing situation. His manager made him pay hundreds of pounds ,he had to .If we tried to get it investigated he would tell our letting agency what we did and he risked not being able to get hired by the post office again.

Thankfully down the line my other half was able to get another job but that man took money off a family that was barely making ends meet

Rape. Rape and more rape. Anal rape was probably the most physically traumatic, but the gang rape, or maybe the child sexual exploitation as a whole would be the worst?

Police did nothing. They made it worse.
