GPs - any idea when I can get an IUD?

Not in any rush! Literally just wondering when it will be possible (I’m assuming it’s not already, tbf; haven’t asked my surgery).

Family planning clinics are probably still running in most areas.

Try family planning, I had an emergency one fitted this week 😊

Not sure about GPs as every practice is different. For example my GP gave me a contraceptive injection during lockdown, whereas my friend’s GP said a blanket no and gave her a pill prescription instead.

Also in my area, sexual health clinics have been operating during lockdown. Your area may have a “hub” you can go to as an alternative from your GP?

Non urgent medical facilities can open starting next month too, so you may have more options come July

Super! Thanks, all. Will see where we’re at after my next cycle and perhaps contact the family planning clinic. I’d completely forgotten they exist and I have a horrible suspicion the only GP who does them at my surgery is now an acquaintance anyway... Blush
