Ah yes madelenine's are a good suggestion and French toast. The madeleines dont oyu have to have a funny shaped tin for them?

It's virtually impossible to get wrong. The worst you can do is make it look messy (still tastes great). Pears work well too

Look up recipes for brioche pain perdu in Englush.

Basically French toast made with brioche with caramel sauce dribbled on with a dollop of ice-cream - yummy!

Was going to suggest yoghurt cake too, or moelleux au chocolat (squidgy chocolate cake). Or sablé biscuits.

Or palmiers, using bought puff pastry.
These are all things that I've baked or had baked for me with/by French kids.
