Just after opinions really.
We bought it house seven years ago, for a decent price. We haven't had it valued properly yet but based on similar properties selling on our street plus the work we've done to it, we think were made approx 100k on it (obviously pre lockdown).
We've also just come into some money through inheritance, £70k. We've no debts except for a small mortgage (about a quarter of the value of the property)
We were going to use the money to do pay a bit off the mortgage, home improvements and maybe an extension. We don't need loads of extra space BUT we've always wanted to 1) be detached 2) live in a village/the countryside
Is how a really stupid time to consider selling and buying? I'm tempted to just go for it, but don't know if it's more sensible to wait a year.
