Potential Credit Card scam, please be aware!

Had 2 phone calls this morning,first one from a man,2nd a woman.
Both said that they had picked up unusual transfers on my a/c (gave amounts and both said that the larger one was for a money gift card). Then they came in for the kill.....asked me for my credit card no. to 'verify'. Told them NO - YOU tell me! Both times they terminated the call. Wonder why??
So if they call again, it's going to be 3rd time lucky - for me.
Got myShrillAlarm tube(given to me by the p/lice once when I was getting unwelcome calls by a bleedin perv once). Time to deploy!

Anyway, as they seem to be working from a Script, might be a good idea to pass this on? I think that my auntie might have fallen for this, or my elderly neighbours....

Is this the one where they say they are phoning from the Mastercard and Visa Security Centre?
As if they would share a security department!!
They ring me a couple of times a week ATM.

I'm thinking that with lockdown,restricted shopping etc., they think it's worth giving it another whirl.

Worth mentioning this to elderly relatives, too. My usually 'with it' great Aunt fell for something similar. She said it felt so rushed she didn't have time to think about it clearly.

My landline tel no. is ex-directory tho (police and Bt worked together on that, and they were brill.) and they called me on that.Wtf.
