Whats Staple Hill like? Ive found a lovely house there but I know nothing about the area.

Ah, that’s where I live ! I love it here, amazing park (Page). Shops are okay, and Downend nearby for Coffee shops etc. Easy motorway access, buses etc. My children both go to good, oversubscribed schools.

However, I think of Staple Hill in two parts, there is a definite nicer end and a not so nicer end so depends where the house is?

Hi @leotimmyandvi thanks for replying. The address is 'High Street, Staple Hill'. With the description being 'within 300ft of shops/cafes on Staple Hill High Street'.

I should also say that my son would be going to Primary School there, and then on to Secondary. So im hoping to move and be there for a fair while

Ah ok, I’ve taken a guess at the one you are interested in and that house is on the Staple Hill/Fishponds border.

Nice house, and that part of Staple Hill is fine. 2 nice primary schools nearby (my children went to Christchurch). Downend is the local secondary school, but hugely oversubscribed and I am not sure you would have got in the last few years from that address. Mangotsfield is the other school, generally undersubscribed and sort of Downend’s poorer cousin (they are part of the same academy chain - CSET)

It is probably 10 min walk to Page park from there and you have Vassalls park about 20 min walk away too.

It's one of the main routes in and out of Bristol. Rather busy at rush hour.
