I've had a sore throat on one side only for 7 days - pus on tonsils on that side. It's uncomfortable rather than the agony I've suffered on previous occasions. No fever, don't feel 'ill' - just tired possibly due to not sleeping well with it. There is some swelling there and occasionally ear / jaw feel sore too. It's also causing me to produce too much saliva and then swallowing is quite painful.
I don't know if I should contact my doctor as no improvement, in fact pain is worse, or just carry on self treating. Fed up with it now, but they always say it should clear up in 7-10 days so try to wait the minimum at least. There is also a sore on my tongue on the same side and I don't know if related or just bad luck!
