Centerparcs Europe- advice needed

We have a holiday booked at erperheide in belgium for the end of June- when it looks like the parc will be open so we won’t be offered a voucher. We bought the cancellation insurance at the same time but no other travel insurance. Assuming we can’t travel because 1) brits aren’t allowed to stay away from home for a night and 2) we’d need to quarantine on our return, can we get a refund? Is it a “justified cause” on the insurance?

Has anyone tried to claim or have any insurance knowledge who can help... it’s a lot of money to us.

Neither 1 or 2 will be relevant reasons, as far as I understand, but if your cancellation policy includes cover where the FCO have advised against all but essential travel then you may be ok (depends when the FCO change their current guidance on international travel). Check your policy wording.

If you’re not covered, and the booking is non-amendable, I’d throw yourself on the mercy of CP management and ask if they will defer your booking to other set dates as a show of goodwill. Doesn’t hurt to try, but I wouldn’t take it as read.

Thanks for that beeees, albeit not what I wanted to hear! Is anyone else in the same situation?

If anyone is in the same situation, we phoned them and they credited to a new holiday next year, no quibbles.
