Should I send them to school or not?

Apologies for yet another thread on this.

Basically my ds is booked in to go to preschool every Monday. I am not required back at work for a while and therefore planned on keeping ds at home until I had to return to work.

Dp, however thinks it will be good for him to go back asap and also has admitted he could do with the break from ds for a few hours.

I'm not sure how I feel. I think ds will like to go back but I don't want to do it just so we have a 'break'.

If anyone else is in a similar situation , can I ask what you have decided to do?

Op I think the reason people haven't responded is it's purely a personal decision..... I have sent my yr 6 child back even though I don't need to.... I think she needs it though. I'm just following my instinct, you should do the same x

There is enough information on line and newspapers, you need to make your own decision that you are happy with.

Agree with PP that it is purely a personal decision. Also I guess it depends which factors are most effecting your decision. If you needed to return to work from this week, would you have sent him? I think to give yourselves a bit of a break or because it will be beneficial for DS is just as a good a reason as childcare for work. But that is just my opinion. How much are the risks around Covid a factor for you? You don't really mention it in your OP.

Personally I wouldn’t

Personal decision
Personally I am!- my husband isn’t happy though

I am sending mine back. I think it will be good for them and, in my opinion, the risks are minimal.
