DD Birthday today - I need help to make it fun.

Hi all.

It's my DDs 10th birthday today and I really need some help as to what to make it fun for her. We were meant to be going to the park for a social distance meet and bike ride with her friend and a picnic and now the weather is rubbish here and so we can't do that. DH is off all day and I'm off this afternoon. Her and DH are having a gaming morning which she's very happy about but now we have nothing really planned for this afternoon. She's not great at Zoom etc so not keen on anything like that.

I really want her to have a lovely day and also rather annoyingly her main present (a laptop) hasn't arrived yet so her other gifts from family (keyboard, mouse etc) area bit redundant.

Aggggh - help please MN! TIA

Could you bake her birthday cake together? Maybe an ice cream cake if you don't fancy baking? Does she like to paint her nails etc? Perhaps set up a spa and give her a make over? Hope she has a fun day

Thank you. She's actually sounding very happy at the moment playing downstairs with her dad and just not being at school :)

Pamper day? Dance party? Or let her make the rules for the rest of the day ie chippy for tea or later bedtime.

Happy birthday to your DD. Baking is a good option (bar the mess) if she is interested.

My DS was 9 the other day, we did party food and a few balloons, he was lucky enough to see his friend for a bit. Nothing especially exciting but he enjoyed it. Hope she has a lovely day.
