Wayfair - anyone used?

Seen a few things I like on Wayfair quite a bit cheaper than other retail sites. Feel a bit nervous ordering from there as I don’t know anyone that’s used it. Have you used it? Were they reliable for delivery? What was the quality like?

Yep it's like an Amazon for homeware. Never had a problem, fast delivery and I like their wish lists as can create looks for rooms

MonsteraCheeseplant · 03/06/2020 09:36

Yes I'm a big fan, go for it. Check the returns policy though.

Yes it’s brilliant. Really good customer service too. Go fitbit.

Yes many times, it’s a very well known site.
Lorraine Kelly is their brand spokes person thingy.

Delivery is always good, quality is as you would expect from a big furniture/home furnishings supplier and if you have any problems their complains/returns/refunds process is very easy and good.

I have some tables and lamps ordered and came no problem . My dd ordered loads for her house a unit came with a special,it in it they exchanged it right away .

CarolFuckingBaskinsPetCat · 03/06/2020 09:38

My entire new house has been furnished from Wayfair due to lockdown

Amazing

I had one thing come that was broken on arrival. I uploaded a photograph to the app and they sent me a replacement three days later

Love love love it

Mrsjayy · 03/06/2020 09:38

A split in it*

SurreyHillsGirl · 03/06/2020 09:43

Yes, lots. We bought some lovely garden furniture from Wayfair and some furniture for the house and have always been happy with the service.

I have found some of their stuff cheaper elsewhere (side tables £100 more on Wayfair) though so do check online once you have found what you want.

I have to overlook the LK connection (not a fan Grin )

Interesting responses. Their customer service is great but the reason I know that is that an £800 cabinet I ordered looked like someone's very poor GSCE woodwork project. I sent photos through and the lovely lady, who clearly thought I had been exaggerating up until then simply said "Oh, I am SO sorry". I asked for a replacement since it was exactly the right size for what I wanted but she later called and said that they couldn't guarantee that a replacement would be of any better quality so would refund. I was annoyed that they required that the cabinet be fully wrapped in original packing in order for a refund to be given which then cost me about £10 in duct tape since it hadn't been possible to get the packing off in one!

madasamarchhare · 03/06/2020 11:05

Brilliant responses thank you. I will get ordering!

Quick delivery but the furniture is what you pay for. We needed about 8 chests of drawers and got them pretty cheaply but the drawers aren’t very deep and they wouldn’t take a bashing. Only cost £65ish each though and they’re fit for purpose so can’t complain!

rallytog1 · 03/06/2020 11:15

They are cheap but I've never had anything delivered in the stated timescales. They're always late.

LoadsaBlusher · 03/06/2020 11:22

Yes I’ve used them , nice products good pricing but my last order took 4 weeks , just due to Covid 19 delays I’m assuming

JustSew · 03/06/2020 11:24

Got a lovely swing bench from them first week of lockdown. I'd definitely use again.

ChangeMeAlready · 03/06/2020 11:30

Bought cabin bed for my young DC. Quality is just shocking. It helps that DC is quite light, otherwise, it would fall apart. Never again. It was quite cheap, though, but I paid somebody to put it up and didn't want to waste any more £ to send it back, so I kept it.
Check reviews and ask questions before buying.

Frlrlrubert · 03/06/2020 11:36

My bookcase is great, as is the bed frame, the bedroom furniture is ok, but has those bastard flatpack style drawers where the bottom just won't stay put, but that's a 'get what you pay for' issue and I should have known better really.

doodleygirl · 03/06/2020 11:38

I bought a sofa from Wayfair about 4 months ago. Quick delivery, sofa is lovely.

bluebell94 · 03/06/2020 11:39

I've got some lovely stuff from there and planning on getting all my baby's nursery furniture from there. It's my favourite homeware shop now and like the fact there's more variety generally than IKEA.

Flynn999 · 03/06/2020 11:44

I bought a bed from their maybe 3 years ago, it was a good price. Delivery quick and the beds been great.

I always look at the reviews and I tend to notice that some of the really cheap bits get poor reviews (difficult to build, easily chipped etc) but I guess you get that from places like ikea, Argos etc.

Livebythecoast · 03/06/2020 12:07

I bought some bedroom furniture for my DD. Mirrored drawers etc. One drawer was cracked - sent a photo, replacement in a couple of days. I would definitely use them again.

Lauren83 · 03/06/2020 12:36

I got a bed and mattress, bed was fine really happy but I used the mattress once and it was terrible! Really bad quality and you could feel all the springs. Checked their returns policy and they accepted it back they just collected it and refunded it no problems
