DS is 8 and obviously anything on the iPad is much more fun that 'normal' learning.

He loves TT rockstars and hit the button - any other educational apps you'd recommend pls??

All I can think of for spelling is www.nessy.com/uk/apps/

I haven't used their apps but we have used nessy and my child's primary uses it for all children as a fun way to practise spelling.

apps.apple.com/gb/app/teach-your-monster-to-read/id828392046 teach your monster how to read might be worth a look but it is more reading based.

Bumping for the weekend crowd!!

Not just spelling but I suppose anything other than maths as he's got a couple of great ones for that already.

I have looked for my son who is year 4 but probably year 2 level with spelling and can't find anything. There are a few that are basically an online version of look/cover/write/check but nothing more interesting than that. The only thing he does like is a word wheel game that works a bit like Boggle, where you look at letters and have to spell as many words as you can.

For vocab/spelling, what I found amazing was electronic dictionary. Watching a film/playing a game/reading a book, it's so easy to use when encountered any new words.

Doodle Spell (I quite like all the Doodle apps)
