What age did your child get some? Do kids even roller skate any more? I loved mine as a child, spent hours skating up and down the street. Has anyone tried the adjustable roller boots, were they any good? I don't fancy shelling out ££ for decent skates (crap skates are no fun) only for them to not fit in a month. DD is coming 6 soon.

The 10 year old in our block just got some (Roller blades). Hers are adjustable and she is happy with them although did complain the brake is wearing out already. So maybe check they're a decent brand or have replaceable parts.

DD 8 opted for a skateboard instead. All the kids race up and down on their wheels, younger three, 6, 3 &3 have three wheeled scooters.

I think 5 and a half..as been skating a few years.... have adjustable ones and on bigger pair now...

We sometimes go to park but the path near us aren't great, so we sometimes go to a skating rink.

Ds6 and ds8 have just learnt to roller skate in lockdown and love it. Dd12 has had skates for a couple of years and loves them

Mine had this type of boot from around age 6-10 and then got a more expensive non adjustable boot when their feet stopped growing as fast!
They got used quite a lot, neither mine or any of the other kids on the street ever master the inline skates and much preferred proper boots.
