Vasectomy results

Hello,
Has anyone (or your partner) had a vasectomy?
My partner had one in Feb and is having his semen analysis next week.
2 questions - how long do the results take roughly?
How common is it to not get the all clear after 16 weeks?

My husband got the results within 30 minutes. The clinic phoned just after he got home. He was asked whether he was sitting down, and they then advised him that there were live sperm in the sample. He had to do another sample a few weeks later, and that was the same, so he had it redone under general anaesthetic last year, which was about 12 months after the original procedure. Sure he is the exception rather than the norm though

My husband had to do two samples two weeks apart and he got a letter through the post a couple of weeks later saying that it had been a success

What a long time that took for your husband!! I think mine would give up after a year😂

The thought of a GA put him off, so he did dawdle a bit. Our DD2 was a baby at the time though, so I was in no rush for him to get it sorted either .
