Noooo.. You've just reminded me I haven't put ours back on yet after washing today. May have to linger downstairs for a while after DH goes up to bed in the hope he'll have done it by the time I go up. Wink

@HumphreyGoodmanswife

😂😂 Excellent plan. Like my friend who had a rule with husband that whoever was home first would get started on dinner. He likes cooking & is very good as is she so no troible to either of them. Until he took a different route one day & saw her parked up about 3 miles from home!

GreenTulips · 01/06/2020 23:59

Me too! Must be a thing today!

Womaninred · 02/06/2020 00:00

Yesterday. This. Feel your pain!

Bridecilla · 02/06/2020 00:01

Oh I hate this. I always remember just as we're heading to bed. Sometimes I fake an important job - must make that shopping list / check dc school bag - in the hope that dp will sort it before I get upstairs but he rumbled me on it last week. Cunning bastard

Smallsteps88 · 02/06/2020 00:02

Ok there are enough of us that this has happened to I reckon it’s time someone invented an app for it.

I don’t know how to create links but Jason Manford does a brilliant piece on this exact issue. I’m giggling just thinking about it. Grin

Ha I do this! I used to put a different set on as soon as I'd stripped it, then I had this brainwave that I could air the bed while the bedding flapped about on the line, then they'd be line-fresh and not need ironing. But then I forget and fold it all up, don't realise till I want to go to bed....

DamnYankee · 02/06/2020 00:41

I was worried you'd found a

1). severed horse head
2). cat poo
3). small child's goldfish b/c "He's so still. He must be cold!"

Toilenstripes · 02/06/2020 00:52

I’m feeling your pain. We do it too. Best of intentions and lots of energy. Then nothing.

SpencerReidsMistress · 02/06/2020 00:58

😜 Was I the only one with my head in the gutter that you had changed your bed this morning and got some bam chika wow wow now resulting in another bed change tomorrow 😂

HorsesInTheSky · 02/06/2020 01:04

I don't understand. The problem is that you have to put new sheets on when you're tired, is that it?

NoWordForFluffy · 02/06/2020 07:58

@HorsesInTheSky, it's that when you go to bed, you just want to get in, not faff making the bloody bed.

Mumdiva99 · 02/06/2020 08:00

@SionnachGlic Grin so funny!!

SweetPetrichor · 02/06/2020 09:14

I was feeling really enthusiastic yesterday morning, stripped the bed, got the carpet cleaner out and washed the mattress, job well done...then forgot about it until bed time too. In my defence, I couldn't remake it at the time because the mattress had to dry...

Yep. Not a big deal really but just one of those “argh” moments when you just want to drop into bed.

Was it dry by bedtime?

Eurgh I hate this. On occasion I've stripped the bed then gone out for a boozey afternoon / evening session got home and realised I haven't remade the bed. That nice tipsy glow soon faded

Glittertwins · 02/06/2020 17:32

Even worse when you congratulate yourself for stripping it and getting it beautifully white and crease free on the washing line only to find some wretched bird has dumped its load as you were about to bring it in.
Back to the machine it goes ...
