Sainsburys' basket limit

Sorry - am sure this info is somewhere and but can't find it and can't get through on the phone...

I want to place an order with sainsbury's if about 120 items. I can't book an available click and collect or delivery slot though. Website won't let me confirm it. Is there a basket limit? I thought not for collection but even that won't work and can't see anything on the website or web

Unfortunately, Sainsbury’s is still experiencing high demand for certain products, so some restrictions remain in place for the most popular items, including UHT milk, tinned tomatoes and pasta.

My last delivery order was 160 items. Haven’t ever done click and collect. I don’t think there’s a limit.

You can’t buy more than 3 of some items but I’ve only been xperienced this with tinned tomatoes, soups etc. It tells you when you try to add more that there’s a limit.

You have to book the slot before you select your items, otherwise as you've found out, there may not be any slots.

I've not had a limit on items from Sainsbury's but a couple of weeks ago it wouldn't let me check out until I removed the eggs and flour I had in the basket. Try removing them and then see if it checks out for you?

Is the problem that there are no slots available? Or are you getting an error when you book what looks like an available slot? Does the error not give you any indication as to why it won't book or does it just crash?

There are available slots to pick from - the confirm button won't work when I press it once I select the slot. I've always done my basket and picked my slot on check out before

Not ordering any hot button items such as tinned tomatoes and only bottle of breach... How weird. Looks like it is not a numbers issue then.

Have you had a slot recently? They’re limiting deliveries here to once a week, so might be something similar to that.

Also, have you tried website rather than app or vice versa? In case it’s just a technical glitch.

The Sainsbury's website has been really glitchy all through lockdown. Some things just randomly don't work or load or cause it to crash. Load again a few mins later and its generally fine.
