Odd job quote - does this sound reasonable?

I’ve not needed any odd jobs doing for as long as I can remember but I have a bad shoulder so can’t do this myself. I need 5 small picture shelves putting up and 2 curtain poles fitting. The quote I got was £40. I’ve always done jobs like this myself so don’t know what’s normal. I’m in West Yorkshire if that makes any difference (I know prices down south can be higher in general). Thanks

I reckon that would take a couple of hours so £40 is decent. I’ve not paid someone for odd jobs before though

Thanks sharp - same here and I’ve no idea if it sounds good or not.

Our odd job man charges £15ph but has a four hour minimum charge so yours sounds reasonable.

Thigh thanks. It’s good to have something to compare . This man has quoted £20 ph with a minimum 2 hours.
