Antihistamines causing dry throat?

Anyone experienced this? I'm taking antihistamines for postnasal drip but now my throat feels super dry. It's annoying as obviously with the current situation I am probably over thinking it far more than I need too! I am taking Benadryl one a day!

Yes I find this too. It makes sense when you think about it. I just put up with it. I think I notice it more with loratadine than cetirizine so unless there is a good reason not to, or you have to specifically take Benadryl, maybe try another one. I take them for hayfever and the gp told me to alternate between the two because you can get used to taking the same one all the time.

I'm think I may have some loratadine somewhere, I'm struggling to get hold of it. It's just so annoying. I've gone from constantly clearing my throat to overthinking a dry throat Hmm
I've also been advised to take a steroid nasal spray so using beconase which could be another culprit!

Yeah I use beconase too. All that stuff just dries you out, basically. As I get older my eyes get so dry now that they are watery because of that rather than the hayfever and I have to use eye drops!
