Apple TV - is it worth it?

I seem to have acquired a free year of apple TV!

Is there anything worth watching on it before I sign up? I can't find a lot on line other than names of shows I haven't heard of and films that don't interest me.

I actually don't have a TV so I'll only be able to watch it on my phone so anything that requires big screen type effects is going to be somewhat underwhelming!

I also have it for free. I can also only play it on my phone, I can’t use it on either of our smart TVs. It’s a ridiculous thing.

Sounds like my first instinct to delete the app and not bother was about right then!
