Right I was found by someone on snap chat who I used to know who is blocked on fb using only my Snapchat name when my snap chat name is not my real name. How is this possible?

If your phone number or email address (depending on which you signed up with) is in their contacts. Are you ok?

To clarify- you might have come up as a recommended friend for them if they had you phone number or email

It's connected to my phone number and we have mutual friends, I am okay. I used to be a addict and I was very close with one dealer and used to sit over his house for days (he never took the stuff) and I blocked him when I gave up as it was too much temptation but even though I blocked him on my phone and on fb he has found me on there. I'm just concerned if he found me that my ex may as well. So was wondering how I can stop it?

It will be because of your phone number, not your name, as it’ll be in their contacts so you’ll be a suggested friend to them. That will be the same for anyone you’ve ever had as a contact.

If you go into your snapchat settings and then uncheck “see me in quick add” that should stop any possible phone contacts seeing you.

@heartsonacake thank you very much will go sort it out now.

That doesn't stop phone contacts from adding you. Only mutual friends.
The only way to stop phone contacts would be to delete your whole account and recreate with a different number.
