Just me in the house (well, and the dog and parrot!). Picking ds up from his dads this evening, so I’m having a lazy day. I’m not even showered and dressed yet! I’m just trying to decide between making a salad for lunch, or heating up leftover stew from last night. I think the stew is winning!

BogRollBOGOF · 31/05/2020 12:56

I'm back from crossing the county boundary for the first time in 11 weeks (normally weekly routine) to do my first social with a friend. Had a lovely time walking, talking, sitting and a good moan about "homeeducating" reluctant learners with no hint of real school on thehorizon.

DCs are gawping at youtube minecraft on the TV.

DH is gawping at youtube economic and financial videos on the other TV.

God it's been good to have a couple of hours of non-geek conversation!

WoollyMammouth · 31/05/2020 13:04

DH and I have been doing some cleaning while the DC watch TV/play. We’ve had lunch so now they’re playing minecraft for a bit. Need to finish hoovering but I am currently have a cup of tea in the garden.

Might go for a walk later. Been off work this week as it’s half term so have all our work/school stuff to sort for tomorrow.

sestras · 31/05/2020 13:06

I didn't even know it was Sunday 😂

lucysmam · 31/05/2020 13:06

I'm MN-ing, in the kitchen listening to the radio. I've come out in itchy bumps on my arms/back of my neck & not sure if it might be because of being out in the sun :( I'm going to peg some bedding out in a mo.

Dd1 is still in bed Hmm she is awake though!

Dd2 is finishing her dinner, in the living room, with an ice lolly.

Their dad is off to Lidl shortly. I didn't do very well on my last shop & we need a top up to make actual meals with what there is.

I'm debating making something cakey for pudding later on but can't decide what to make :)

SoapyChoc · 31/05/2020 13:06

I've had a lie in followed by a soak in the bath. Had a v late breakfast of peanut butter on toast and am now in the garden. I will read some more of my book shortly.

CheeseAndBeans · 31/05/2020 13:08

All got up around 9 and have had a lazy morning. DDs, 3 & 6, watching tablets and covering every inch of living room in Barbie tat. Me and OH watched crap on tv.
Tidied up and just waiting for some rolls to cook for lunch. Paddling pool filling up ready for an afternoon in the garden. OH will stay home with them while I pop to tesco for a few bits after lunch as queue is usually shorter by then.
BBQ for dinner later then me and OH will watch a film once DDs go to bed. DD6 tooth also fell out this morning so will be frantically searching the house for some coinage for tooth fairy duty later too!

squashyhat · 31/05/2020 13:09

I'm sitting in the garden glued to NASA tv waiting for Dragon to dock with the ISS.

Dk20 · 31/05/2020 13:11

Me and dp did a clean of the house this morning and planted some flowers in the garden pots. We've all had lunch outside together.

Dp is now inside playing a game on the xbox (hiding from the sun as his legs got burnt yesterday)
Ds is in his playhouse - hiding from the sun.
I'm sitting outside but am under an umbrella hiding from the sun.
And dbaby is having a very long nap up in his cot (he seems to be sleeping longer in this heat)

TheBigFatMermaid · 31/05/2020 13:13

Up early for me on a Sunday. Just trying to work out where to keep my new (to me) mobility scooter, so it can't be stolen. It's going to make such a difference to my life. I would hate for it to disappear.

Dowser · 31/05/2020 13:13

Trip to country park, then a short drive to our fave Indian restaurant

monkeyonthetable · 31/05/2020 13:15

Got up, fed cat, made tea in bed for DH.

Then a friend called round for an early morning walk. First person outside our immediate family who I've spoken to in ten weeks. Went for a long ramble in the woods. It was so lovely to talk to someone I almost cried with happiness! DC and DH had lie-ins.

Came back, had coffee and croissants. DC and DH surfaced. Watched Glyndebourne Marriage of Figaro with DH and DS1.

Early lunch of chocolate brownies made yesterday by DS2.

Now about to join an online course for two hours. DH gardening. DC off for a walk together. Will mow the lawn later then make tea. Plan to have a long bath and read in bed tonight.

DizzyCow63 · 31/05/2020 13:15

We've had a busy-ish Sunday!

DH & DSD went to the local wholesalers for baking supplies and some household bits while I baked a pavlova for a BBQ later and DSs played in the garden. Made some sausage rolls for lunch and used the left over pastry for nutella swirls- very unhealthy day today 😳

DSD is playing with DS2 while I have a shower and a wee pamper session now, DH & DS1 are out for a bike ride.

tunnocksreturns2019 · 31/05/2020 13:17

I got growbags! Feel rather excited 🤣Planting out cucamelons and tomatoes this afternoon. DS (11) is playing Minecraft and talking to his friends on his phone. DD (8) is mostly decorating the driveway! Both DC camped in the garden every night for the past week but I’m back to work (home office) after a week off tomorrow so I need everyone back in beds and rather earlier tonight!

Tell me about your Sunday
Mammyloveswine · 31/05/2020 13:20

DH cutting the grass, I'm sorting through the pouffe of doom (filled with documents I need to sort for shredding) and cleaning the living room as we are finishing wallpapering this afternoon!

Also need to sort clothes out as I'm back to work tomorrow (teacher) and so is ds1!

Witchend · 31/05/2020 13:22

I've planted out the tomato plants and beans that are too large for the initial tray that ds planted (along with various other ones) at the start of lockdown when he decided he needed to "dig for victory".
There are rather fewer than there were a week ago as he was in hospital for 4 days and dh forgot to water the ones in the greenhouse.

Dh has got up, watched the church service, had a bath and has now retreated to bed to play on his phone. Shortly he will come downstairs for his family zoom call. This consists of his speaking occasionally at the top of his voice, but the majority of the call will be taken up with sibling announcing how he saved the world this week.

Ds is recovering from said hospital trip by lying on the sofa, admiring his budgies having a bath and playing on his tablet.

Dd2 has got up. I don't think she got changed from yesterday. I made the mistake of commenting as such. She isn't now talking to me and has retreated back to her room. I'm tempted to cut the internet. Although maybe I should do that in the middle of the discord of "how dh's sibling saved the world #295".

DD1 isn't up yet. She's probably conversing with friends on WhatsApp. When she gets up she'll probably do some cooking though.

Mintjulia · 31/05/2020 13:23

Just me and ds.

So far I’ve run 9k, done an hour painting bannisters (tedious), an hour weeding, and 50 minutes Zoom karate class with Ds.

Now collapsed on my bed with the breeze blowing in. I’ll go and make a sandwich in a minute if I can find the energy. I’m going to ache tomorrow.Grin

Dowser · 31/05/2020 13:45

Cor mintjulia
I’ve had a bath
No wonder I’m so fat

BendandBreak · 31/05/2020 13:57

Ah, it's really nice to be hearing all these replies, some of you are a busy lot!
Isn't it great to be able to take things a bit easier than normal in this lovely weather we have been having.
My husband is still working full time from home (university lecturer) and I've been furloughed. It's very frustrating having lots of ideas of house/ garden jobs we could do, but that is commandeering his little time off. So I'm biding my time and hoping his workload will eventually go down...
Anyway, now we have had lunch in the garden in the ☀️ we are contemplating a garden centre.
But that might just ruin my calm and relaxed mood!
