What the hell do these symptoms mean?

It's bizarre, and I'm completely done with this now, want it to go away please! I've been to the gp and she's said to go back if it happens again (which it has).

The lymph nodes either side of my throat, under my jaw (tonsils?) are enlarged, when not actively 'up' like they were when she felt them the other day, she said they were the upper end of normal. Right now, they're bigger, and my throat is tingly and sore and my ear canals are all tingly - as if I was about to get a cold.

This has been going on for about 2 months now; it often happens in the afternoon or evening when I'm tired, my glands pop up as if I'm about to get a cold, but I don't. It's gone by the morning. I've had bloods, thyroid normal, nothing else weird apart from possibly I have Gilbert's syndrome which is just a genetic difference and nothing to worry about.

I intermittently feel so drained my arms and legs feel like lead. I'm running after an 18mo, helping do up our house and working. I can't afford whatever the hell this is right now - gp has said she'll send me for imaging which I'm going to take her up on, but I'm wondering if anyone has any ideas what it could be? Has anyone had anything similar and had a diagnosis? Google doesn't show up anything useful.

Could be sarcoidosis
Have you had a mild dry cough?
Tiredness is a major symptom

pandarific · 31/05/2020 12:32

No, no cough. It's very weird.

Are you suffering any chronic pain as well as the tiredness? I have ME/CFS & my glands pop up & down with that, I also have brain fog where I can't remember something I read or saw 5 minutes ago or forget words, the tiredness is crippling, the effort of just making a drink shatters me. Other than that I would be asking for a blood test for glandular fever.

pandarific · 31/05/2020 13:29

Blood test negative for glandular fever.

I get like this when I'm run down. If I don't pay attention then I eventually end up with tonsillitis, then I have to stop!

My strategy, and I know this isn't for everyone, is lots of echinacea, vitamins, zinc and lots of early nights.
