RIP Michael Angelis

The actor who played characters in The Liver Birds, The Boys From the Black Stuff, Auf Wiedersehn Pet and GBH has died.

He also narrated Thomas the Tank Engine stories.

Oh no. Sad. I loved his work.

Aah. That's very sad. He was married to Helen Worth (Gail from Corrie) back in the day.
Loved him as Lucian in The Liver Birds, and GBH was a masterpiece.

Our Lucien! I walked past him once on Chelsea Bridge and was dying to ask "how are the rabbits?"
I was a teenager when The Liver Birds was on and loved answering the phone with "They're all out and I'm shampooing my rabbits"

He seemed to play apparently calm characters with 'hidden depth'.

I was a kid when I watched the episode where Lucien's rabbits were stolen, Lucien climbed a tall building (The Liver Building) in an attempt to commit suicide and he was brought down safely with the two girls encouraging the crowd to sing You'll Never Walk Alone.

It all seemed 'believable' on his part.

Aw I loved Lucian!

There was a field on my train journey to work with rabbits grazing in it. I could never settle to read my book every morning till I'd seen "me rabbits."
