Does norehisterone make you gain weight?

I was prescribed norehisterone just as lockdown started to control endless bleeding. The next step was meant to be an ablation, but lockdown stopped that. I've gained a fair bit of weight despite exercising regularly. Could it be the norehisterone?

I took it once to delay my period on holiday and I kid you not, put on a stone in a week.

Yes, it definitely made me gain weight and I didn't take it for long.

Like @madasamarchhare says, I have still not lost the weight and that was over a year ago

Yes! I have to take it as my contraceptive since micronor was discontinued. I put on 10lbs in a couple of weeks and can not lose it at all 2 years later 😔

Thank you all. I'll be calling my GP on Monday. Sad
