Really really irritating little things

(anyone who asks if I don't have anything more important to worry about - you have a point)
Houmous. Comes out of its cardboard sleeve - fine.
Then you have to undo that plastic collar thing. The perforated section breaks off under the lid and then you have t sort of yank at it, leaving a loop around the tub.
Anyone else? Just me? Feel free to add your first World irritations.

The recent trend for "shrink wrapping" fish and meat on the plastic trays. it used to be a film cover straight over the top so the "open here" tab at the corner was bad enough but now the plastic is also stuck to the entire tray as well. Has anyone managed to open one of these without splattering fish juice everywhere?!?

Emmathedilemma - You beat me to it! Blasted stuff. You need scissors to open the pack and I do make a mess!

Paper flour and sugar bags. However carefully you fold over the top the next time you open it some of the content is always hidden in the folds and spills all over the worktop.

Being a good recycler, I like to separate my rubbish before throwing bits into the different bins.

The irritating thing that really GETS me are the wraparound labels on bottles that are becoming more and more popular.

There's a perforated 'zip' down one side, which, when pulled, should pull down and allow the bottle to be separated and thrown into the recycling.

Nope. Nada. Never ever happens.

The zip pulls down a fraction and I end up pulling the label off in a thin spiral that unwinds slowly from around the bottle.

I can provide a tip on peeling back the bastarding ready meal/ham packet film. Use your hands to warm up the glue a bit, and sometimes it can come off more in a oner.

I discovered this using toddler ready meals and there might have been a tearful rant about companies deliberately glueing the film on too hard just to push sleep deprived parents over the edge.

Coffee bags. Impossible to open without scissors.
My front door lock is horizontal instead of vertical. Annoying as fuck.
Large door handles that catch on sleeves, stopping you in your tracks.
The weeds in my garden.

Smoked salmon. It sticks to itself if it doesn't have those awkward little leaves between the slices, but the leaves themselves are tricky to grasp if you have no nails and you always end up smelling like Billingsgate.

Another one. The ubiquitous few grains of salt and pepper which always fall out the bottom of the grinders leaving a mess in the cupboard.

EarPods. Especially the cheap brightly coloured jelly ones. Impossible to open the packaging - hard, brittle plastic that’s difficult to cut through, but so tight fitting any attempt to open it risks damaging the contents. I’ve accidentally cut the wire trying to get the bloody thing open begotten.

*before!

Broken tea bags! Usually when you’re dying for a cuppa and you only find out when the cup is full of boiling water and exploded tea leaves :(
Those little bits of ribbon on clothes make great Christmas decoration hangers btw.
