Can anyone advise me how I could hide a few groups on whatsapp like you can unfollow on Facebook but check in on them when you want?
I have to stay in the group as it's work related but antisocial hours of use.
Thank You

If you swipe left on the group it should give you the option to mute.
I have all my work ones on mute permanently. I couldn’t give a toss what my colleagues are eating for breakfast on the weekend but they love to discuss it Hmm

Thanks turned yes I have them on mute (loads of subgroups) but I can still see them and it annoys me

Yes it's either mute or leave.

Oh in that case you can archive them, swiping left will let you archive them and then to find them again just swipe downwards on the view of all your chats and you can see the archived ones

It’s mute or leave group unfortunately. And they can see if you’ve left the group. Which is a massive bug bear of mine.

Yes - especially when you get 'added to a group' it looks like a flounce when you go!

SeriouslyRetro · 30/05/2020 13:54

Yes, mute and archive. The trouble is as new messages appear they become 'unarchived' and so you need to continuously archive them, but it keeps them out of sight on the whole.

Yes I wish there was a feature like unfollow or something
