Reposting here for traffic:
Looking for recommendations for a good pilates mat. Have been making do with an old camping mat for far too long! Mostly to use at home on large tiled floor.
Not really sure what thickness i should be looking at, or what the difference (if any) between a Pilates and yoga mat. Would prefer something not too expensive, but could stretch if really worth it.

I do Pilate and yoga and got an Adidas mat from TK Maxx. It’s quite a thick one, but I don’t like the thin ones. Friends in the same group have mats from Amazon, but I don’t know what brand. All quite chunky though. I use a yoga towel on top because it’s easier to wash than wiping the mat all the time. I think it cost about £20.

I’ve got a thick mat from Amazon - can’t do links on iPad. It’s a Maximo exercise mat and is about £25. It’s nice and comfy for Pilates. When I bought it a few months ago it was £10 cheaper but I think prices of all exercise equipment has gone up during lockdown.

What about Decathlon? You can order online and collect from a branch of Asda. They've had stock issues during the lockdown, but the situation seems to be improving. I don't think their prices have changed.
