What's a good tablet for kids?

DD is soon to be 9, and our ancient iPad is on its last legs so we thought we'd get DD a tablet for her birthday. She's the one who mainly uses the iPad for games so preferably a tablet that you can download plenty of free games on (she often gets bored of games easily...). I'd much prefer to get another iPad but we don't really have the money for an iPad.

Any recommendations?

what kind of budget do you have, OP? I would have a look at the VANKYO tablet that I will link below. You can read reviews etc if you scroll down, but it comes installed with the google play store so your dd can download games etc.
