Weekend Plans

Anyone up to much? We’re planning a beach trip tomorrow - the weather’s been glorious & now we’re allowed to go out further, we’ll drive across to the North Coast. There may not be any lifeguards but can always have a cheeky paddle! No plans for Sunday yet. DH is making a Hairy Bikers chicken & mushroom pie yummy. Starting to prepare DD11 for returning to school next week. Kind of surreal, especially as Year 6 will be transitioning to secondary. Doesn’t seem 5 minutes since my baby was starting in Foundation!

It's DH's birthday tomorrow. After presents & breakfast in bed we might go for a socially responsible drive somewhere. Our local Italian restaurant is doing weekend takeaway so we've ordered a lovely birthday meal from there.

DS & I are making DH's birthday cake (toffee & salted caramel) and we'll have some fizz and a couple of drinks.

Sunday we'll just have a lazy day. Maybe go for a nice walk round our town. Not sure what to have for lunch but it won't be a full roast in this weather. I'll have a think. I might do a lasagne with a big salad.

Anyone else?

We are going to spend the weekend in the garden with our two DC. DP is not working and the weather forecast is excellent. I will get some washing done whilst drying conditions are good. I also need to dust the house at some point so I can put up decorations for a significant birthday on Monday. In the evenings DP and I are halfway through a box set that I am glued to.

We're both doing separate zoom calls later with friends, and having fish and chips.

Tomorrow, putting pictures up, just moved house and making scallop linguine for dinner. Having a bbq on sunday

Camping in the garden for the weekend and a BBQ.

We've agreed to go to the nearest beach, but reluctantly- it's mostly because ds1 has asked and asked and asked, and as he has abided by the lockdown brilliantly so far we felt he needs some sort of treat. (Ds1 has many issues and an extensive history of being missing from home so the fact that he has stayed inside for weeks like this is a bloody miracle). I am insisting on us being out of the house by 9.15am though, and if the beach we go to gets really full we will have to leave.

Nothing overly exciting! We normally spend Sunday afternoon doing Zoom calls with both sides of the family, the rest of the time we'll probably just enjoy the garden, maybe go for a drive and take the dog for a walk.

Next weekend we might go further afield - my parents live near the coast and we haven't seen them since Mother's Day so would be nice to try and meet up with them

Same as all the weekends in the past few weeks. Locked down but the sun is shining, beer in the fridge, kids are happy. Im getting up at 3am tomorrow for a mountain walk to see the sun rising. Did it a few days ago and its just mesmerising.

Still can't meet people here in Wales til Monday.

So it's same old, same old til then.

A walk Sat am. We will need milk and other bits and pieces so a quick trip to the shop. I'm supervising and fetching and carrying while DH does a patio in front of my our summer house, which is 2 years in the planning/prep.

Sunday. Lazy day. More supervision of garden work. Zoom 'pub' quiz with lovely work friends on Sun evening - my turn to host.

Then I can see my Mum on Monday! And invite my sister around. And dd can finally see a friend. Not all at once obviously, but there's no limit on numbers, just on the number of households that meet at once in Wales.
