Kindle Daily Deals

Who else loves the Kindle Daily Deals? I'm signed up to the daily email alert.

There's some random and not so great stuff but you can pick up so many really good books for just 99p.

I'd say I buy 2 a week on average just because it's such an accessible price. Eg yesterday I got the Agatha Christie classic And Then There Were None.

Plus as they're electronic no worries about cluttering up the lounge and they just sit there in a virtual queue waiting to be read whenever you want.

I don't work for Amazon before someone accuses me of that I just think it's a great scheme and I read more than I would were I buying paperbacks that I'd have to find space for and at £7.99 a go.

I got Chris Carter, the night stalker for 99p. Love it. I finished it last night and can’t wait to get stuck into another book

I buy lots, including cook books.

They have a few Diana Henry and Bosh for 99p today. Total bargain!

For some reason the Daily Deal is harder to find now on my Amazon home page. Takes longer to find it, not sure why.

Clawdy

You can subscribe to a daily bulletin from them telling you which books are the deal of the day.

Not exactly sure where the sign up link is but I find it v handy as it just arrives in your mailbox.

:-)

I love this. I've found so many new authors from it. Plus if you don't like the book it's only 99p wasted instead of a few quid.

CaptainMyCaptain · 29/05/2020 13:52

I buy most of my books this way. I don't buy actual books any more as they take up too much space and I don't want my daughter to have to get rid of a house full of books like I did when my parents died. (Sorry you get morbid thoughts like that at my age.) the daily deals have a good range but I tend to avoid the Kindle only ones now as I've had quite a few duds.

I'm signed up to several cheap book sites as well; BookBub, Freebooksy etc. I download free ones to read on holiday, and pick up cheap books by my favourite authors when they're on special offer.

Lima45 · 29/05/2020 16:04

Oh yes. I also subscribe to bookbub and a few others. But I bloody love Amazon daily deals.

In fairness I love all their kindle deals, managed to get all the hitchhiker's guide to the galaxy books for under a fiver the other day.

Definitely worth a browse through the monthly deal section as well

My 17 year old grandson enthused about infidel by a Somali woman, I thought it was lovely that my gorgeous caring grandson was so disgusted about this women’s treatment, ive bought it as well
99 p

I am attempting to read 50 books this year. It would have cost a small fortune without 99p books and kindle unlimited. And like PP said I’ve discovered so many new authors this way. I’m on book 32 by the way :-)

PontiacBandit · 29/05/2020 18:35

I've just signed up to Kindle unlimited in a bid to read more (and to get DD into point horror books).

Experimenopause · 29/05/2020 18:39

Can any of you please share how to access these deals? Or how to subscribe to a notification email for them? Thanks

HiHoHiHoBackToSchoolWeGo · 29/05/2020 20:26

If you google kindle daily deals (UK) it takes you to the page for today's deals. There's a link towards the top that you click on to subscribe to the emails.
Hope that helps!
