Boring thread alert - Air purifiers

Me, DD and asthmatic DS are all suffering with hayfever/allergies at the moment. I've been looking at air purifiers but I'm completely confused. Does anyone have one and can recommend it? I was hoping to not go much past the £100 mark and preferably with replacement filters that are easily available.

If you do have one, do you find them good for dust and pet dander as well?
I've also seen stuff about ions and ozone, are these bad?

Thanks!

I got a Bionaire compact air purifier for about £100. My DS has it on permanently in his bedroom. I'd say it helps.

I just got Lenoit £79.99 from Amazon. The last twi nights I used it I woke up without stuffy nose.

Great, I will look at both those brands. Thank you!
