I'm sitting on the sofa downstairs and just heard my children upstairs saying goodnight and "I love you" to each other. They're 14 and 21.

You know when you sometimes just have a I've got this moment?

Well I'm having one now 😊

Care to share your I've got this moments?

You so have got this! Well done.

My married with 2 kids 25 year old DD has started playing, Minecraft with my 13 DS and it's lovely.

Mine tripped her brother up in the hall today for 'looking at her funny'. I evidently have not got this.

Aw, that's so sweet! I love hearing my 12 yr old son talking to his baby brother, it's the cutest thing, and when he says "darling", I can totally hear me when I address them!

Pieceofpurplesky · 29/05/2020 00:19

Me too. My 16 yo DS actually spoke today. A proper conversation that involved no grunts or groans!

@Megatron - I recgnise your scenario rather than the OP's Grin

I know my dc actually would have each other's backs in a heartbeat if ever needed, but they do still have to trip each other up as they walk past each other.

We have a cheesy little family saying of "Teeeaaammmm [surname]!" with matching hand gestures for when we've done a bit of good family-ingBlush. After a bit of a fraught week last week, my six year old was chatting away at bedtime, and said "We're [surname]'s" and I replied "Yes we are. What does that mean?", hoping she would say it means we're a team. She said "It means that we belong together for ever, and even though we fall out sometimes we always ALWAYS make sure that everyone is OK". And all of a sudden I felt like everything was fine Grin

DD (12) birthday earlier this week.

Due to CV, lots of family and friends sent me money to buy for her so I was trying to pick stuff I hoped she'd like.

She opened everything with such delight and was really pleased with it all.

DH caught my eye at one point and was definitely saying "we've got this" Grin

And our lovely teen boys were putting up her decorations and blowing up balloons as DH and I were wrapping the gifts the night before!
