Can I get your opinions on this jumpsuit?

I'm really trying to change my style a bit this summer, I usually stick to jeans as that's what I'm comfortable. I hate my stomach it constantly looks bloated therefore I stay well away from tight fitted items, I usually look for things with a belt like this so it covers my stomach a bit or something a bit floaty. I'm 26 but I can't decide whether the print on this jumpsuit is a bit old fashioned? What do you think? Would you wear it if you were my age. I'm really struggling to find clothes at the minute. (Please excuse how ghostly white I am, I do usually use a self tanner but it's faded and I've been lazy this week).

Frumpy, even. Bloody phone.

purpleposes · 27/05/2020 20:13

@Samster45 yeah I would just wear it for little days out to the park/beach or for a walk not work or anything

I think the fabric is a bit dull and dated. I love bold pattern but this looks like something my elderly mother would wear on safari. But I like the cut and style of the jumpsuit.

I like both. A bit baggy on the legs but if it's hot outside that might be a good thing

dayswithaY · 27/05/2020 20:17

My comment was about the first one, I really like the second one.

UhKevin · 27/05/2020 20:21

Missed the second one. Looks good!

DoAsYouWouldBeMumBy · 27/05/2020 20:21

The second one is really nice. The first one is just so big on you - if I had a gorgeous, youthful figure like yours, I wouldn't be drowning it like that 🤷‍♀️

icansmellburningleaves · 27/05/2020 20:22

Love the spotty one, not as keen on the orange one. That’s just personal preference though. You look great in both of them.

Silkfred have some gorgeous jumpsuits, have you had a look on there?

purpleposes · 27/05/2020 20:25

@aquamarine1029 I never thought about that, but tried rolling up the legs just to see what it looks like and actually quite like it as a play suit for holidays/the beach, I might try and take it up properly or best wait until I can see my mum as I'm not great with altering clothes and I'll no doubt make an arse of it

@IWillNotNameTheTree I haven't but off to go and have a look there now!

I’m early 20s and wouldn’t wear either.

The first one is baggy/frumpy. The neckline and print aren’t very nice - it would look better with a more plunge neckline

The 2nd one is just outdated, particularly the cut. It looks more like a night out outfit from 2016 than a casual outfit

There’s so many better options

Aquamarine1029 · 27/05/2020 20:27

I love the black one. You look lovely in it.

OnoMatoPoei · 27/05/2020 20:30

I think that looks instantly better as a playsuit, OP.

2007Millie · 27/05/2020 20:31

Looks AMAZING as a play suit, much better

I'm 24 and would wear both

marmitepasta · 27/05/2020 20:31

I think you look lovely in both.

WorraLiberty · 27/05/2020 20:32

I actually really like the first one and I'm generally not keen on those jumpsuits.

As an aside, never apologise for the colour of your skin.

Tsubasa1 · 27/05/2020 20:33

The bottoms on the red one look frumpy.

lljkk · 27/05/2020 20:39

Fab fabric on the OP.
I'm not a jumpsuit fan but I like that fabric.
Black is boring, imho.
*Disclaimer: I have zero interest in fashion.

Bunionbandit · 27/05/2020 20:58

I think it’s very nice & you look lovely in it. My step daughter is 30 & she has a similar patterned dress which is very flattering. Sometimes it’s difficult to step out of your usual fashion comfort zone. I say go for it !

mammmamia · 27/05/2020 21:23

I’m not keen on the first one, style or print sorry but the second one looks lovely on you. And your skin looks beautiful by the way.

Tonz · 28/05/2020 09:03

Looks amazing as a playsuit, brilliant idea

Crunchymum · 28/05/2020 09:08

Really like it as a playsuit but not a fan of jumpsuits per se.

They are unflattering for the vast majority (even my 5yo looks a bit odd in them??).
