My iphones stop working after awhile... anyone else?

God I'm so frustrated, I've had three iphones and each one has eventually stopped working.

I've now lost all of my data on my current iphone 7 (I know I could've been alright if I had done an icloud backup - but I just didn't think to before it happened.)

My phone was working fine however for the past few weeks, it stopped charging normally. I had to put the phone in a certain angle to charge, until today where my phone died from low charge... I go to charge it but it won't hold a charge long enough to turn back on. Sad

Before smartphones were a thing, I don't ever remember any of my phones eventually breaking like this? I take reasonable care of my things and haven't dropped it, no debris stuck in the charging port.

I just hate that I won't be able to acess all of my phone data (e.g., the hundreds of notes, photos, my precious safari tabs, saved passwords etc)

Your phone will charge wirelessly, on a wireless charger. Might be worth investing in one? I lent my colleague mine, when her phone died.

Talk to Apple support? Surely the main benefit of iPhone is their services.

I had this, the charger would only connect inconsistently, but after 5 years and I expected the battery life to be done by then. Have you Tried blowing into the charging port to remove dust ? Or replacing battery cost around £60 if it still fails to charge.

Have you checked if the cable works? Mine stopped working and I thought it's my phones fault until I borrowed my husbands and it started charging again. It didn't look broken when I looked at it but had lot of wear and tear.

Take a look at the charging cable. If you need to buy a replacement the Amazon own brand nylon braided cable is the best quality iphone charging cable. It’s far better than Apple’s own version.

You could also look in the charging poop. DH had this with his iPhone 7. When he shone a torch down there he found loads of dust. You should be able to see the phone's colour in the charging point.
