Infant shoe sizes? (Converse)

My DC wears infant size 6 which is EU 23. He needs new sneakers because he’s worn his old ones out. Most shoes are listed correctly as UK6 = EU23. However the Converse I want to buy say UK6 = EU22. So do I buy him a UK6 which is his correct size? Or will it turn up as an EU22 which will be too small?

I found Converse kids' shoes to come up very small, so I'd be inclined to go for a UK 7.
