Next door house woes

Next door have extended front, side, back ways. We didn’t challenge plans as we are looking to do work ourselves but finished house is (obviously imho) a complete eyesore. Has gone out of look of rest of road, think big fake Tudor in a road with no big fake Tudor. Is painted grey and has up lighting that changes colours at night. They are now in process of putting in electric 6 foot gates when no other house has these.

The rest of the road is a pretty wisteria covered semi rural area. We moved here as we love the area.

Do we have any option apart from move? I know we could have challenged but didn’t realise how would actually look irl.

Any ideas? Is actually really bothering me (first world problems I know)

Oh they light fires (too close to our hedge), have a dog (that comes in our garden) and also play the same three garage songs on repeat (they are that cool).

We need to move don’t we....

Just rest assured that they have built themselves something that they are never going to be able to sell...

My neighbours built an absolute monstrosity of a rear extension with no planning permission. It got reported and retrospective permission denied. They appealed twice and it was approved as long as they put in Windows so light could enter our garden. It is vile and comes up to our bedroom window. Sometimes their kids are playing on there and can see in our bedroom window.

They are now building a 'shed' at the bottom of the garden. It isn't a shed, it's a dwelling. It has been reported and I will be so mad if they get away with it again.

I think they would re sell easily as is big and still get the nice area.

Am wondering now if it is him or the house I dislike most. He is aggressive and unpleasant but has a “nice guy” first impression persona. Their builders blocked out drive and when asked to move so we could pop out, they swore and gesticulated. The house owner was very dismissive.

I could put up with either him or his house (I think...) but both together is bad news.

The gate posts are up now, am really worried how the gates themselves will look. For context we (the whole road) have low hedges at the front...

But back to the house. Is really obviously stand out different

But have they not priced themselves out of the area? Like putting a swimming pool in a terraced cottage?
