I'm sitting here with my hand in bowl of cold water AGAIN

I really could do with being less klutzy.

I could also do with not having cut a finger on the same hand I scalded.

I feel your pain; I have almost no feeling in the top of my left thumb as I cut it badly 3 times in a year. I also have iron scars on my right forearm where I burned it twice in a week.
Will we never learn?

Ouch. I was looking at the burn on my left thumb today trying to figure out how many times I've burned that exact spot taking things out of the oven and knocking off another track.

Hope your injuries are healed soon.

God don't those burns hurt and it goes on and on for hours...ouch!

Ouch. I'm not to bad with my knife skills, I can even use a rotary cutter with caution but I burn myself all the time, and it hurts.

I went through a phase of managing to cut my right thumb badly. You can almost play noughts and crosses on the scar pattern.

Fortunately the cut has closed, or I'd have a bowl full of red water all ready for the next incident that I think we can all see coming...

So that you don’t feel alone, I burned the palm of my hand earlier on the hob, ( don’t ask!) then later on I was trying to garden, had a big pile of weeds which I grabbed to put in the compost bin, forgetting about the pile of nettles mixed in with them.
Agony doesn’t cover it 😩

I wish to report that my keyboard and sofa have made it safely through the night.

Sympathy and to fellow-sufferers. I would offer my normal , but, you know, handling hot liquids...

When you are finished with the water, wrap clingfilm around it.

Will sting less with no air getting to it.
